Who I Work With

I work with owners of small and mid-sized businesses. Construction, the trades, professional services, manufacturing, healthcare practices, retail. The industry matters less than you'd think. Problems are remarkably similar.

Most owners I work with employ between one and fifty people. They've built something real, but they're often the bottleneck.

If you're a startup and haven’t made a sale yet, I'm probably not your guy. If you've been at it a few years and are not doing as well as you hoped, we should talk.

At Last Count, I've Coached 552 Business Owners

Most of them came to me tired, working long hours, unsure where the money went, and unable to take time off. Our job is to get clear on what you want, to get control of your cash, and to take specific actions.

How I Think About Business

We start with a conversation. Thirty minutes, no charge.

We find out where the money is going. Most businesses suffer from cash flow problems. We need to take care of that quickly.

We work on it regularly, most often twice a month, from one to four times a month. We meet in person, either by video or face to face in the same room. Our meetings are regular conversations where we work on your specific business problems to achieve your specific business goals.

What Owners Say

★★★★★
"As a former small business owner, Martin’s book, The Profit Problem, resonated with me so hard. I actually ended up hiring Martin Holland as a business coach. He was just as good coaching as he was writing about the concepts. Six months after working with him, I sold my business for a massive profit."
Todd Hagopian

★★★★★
"With a couple of small tweaks in my business, my profit has gone up, but more importantly, I now know where the cash is going. I've been looking for my accountants to explain things like this to me and they never did. It's a light bulb 'aha' moment."
John

★★★★★
"He wasn't afraid to have the hard conversations or tell us what we needed to hear as business owners, even when it was difficult to take in. His guidance helped us navigate some tough decisions with more clarity and confidence."
Turner VandenBorn

★★★★★
"I first started working with Martin about 10 years ago when he was helping our family business move past some roadblocks we were trying to overcome. He is not only a wealth of knowledge but also has the network to connect you with when you're needing more precise help and expertise."
Jay Villemarette

A 30-minute phone call, no charge. You tell me what's going on in your business and what you want it to look like.
I'll tell you honestly whether I think I can help. If I'm the right fit, I'll say so. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so.
